Workshop Presentation Guidelines

  • Workshops are scheduled for 60 minutes.
  • You have the option to pre-record 15 minutes of your workshop. The pre-recorded 15 minutes should be the teaching component of your workshop. If you choose to pre-record, your workshop will start at a quarter past the hour as attendees will have the option to watch immediately prior to the start of your workshop or before the conference begins.
  • If you do not choose to pre-record, your session will begin at the top of the hour. You should plan your session for 15 minutes of teaching and 45 minutes of interaction with your audience.
  • We have created a template slide deck; please create your presentations using the slide deck template emailed to you.

Oral Presentation Guidelines

  • Presentations must be created in MS Power Point.
  • Each presenter will have 15 minutes, up to 10 minutes to present and 5 minutes for discussion.
  • The optimal amount of slides is 10, 1 minute per slide. You may choose to use more than 10 slides, but please be sure to complete your presentation within the allocated 10 minutes. The content of the slides should give an overview of the research with conclusions and future research direction.
  • We have created a template slide deck; please create your presentations using the slide deck template emailed to you.
  • Presentations must be submitted by Monday, February 15th to the conference committee. Please email your presentation to contact@sdoheducation.org

Poster Presentation Guidelines

  • Each poster presenter will be required to make up to a 3-minute Power Point video describing your abstract.  There will be no specific time for which you will need to be available during the conference.
  • Along with the video, please submit a one page PDF copy of your poster for attendees to view on our website.
  • Poster size: please use this guide for creating your poster
  • PDF of posters and presentations must be submitted by Monday, February 15th to the conference committee. Please email your presentation to contact@sdoheducation.org

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I have to register for the conference to present?
A: Yes! Registration is required for all presenters. Early bird registration ends on December 18th. Register here!

Q: Is there a template I need to use when preparing my presentation.
A:Yes! You should have received the template in your acceptance email. Contact us at: contact@sdoheducation.org if you would like us to re-send.

Q: When will session details be provided to presenters?
A: Information about dates/times for your presentation will be sent on or before January 11, 2021. Thank you for your patience while we work through the schedule.
