Promoting Affirmative Transgender Health Care Practice Within Hospitals

Date of Review: November, 2020

This interprofessional workshop, from MedEdPORTAL, asks health care learners across multiple professions to take a deep dive in the management and discharge planning for a transgender patient in a simulated ED setting. It requires learners of multiple professions to interact in 6 different formats, including a team huddle and a team debrief on video simulation. This curriculum would be easy to implement at other schools in the clinical training scenarios. .–Sara Tariq MD, NCEAS
