Preparing Today’s Nurses: Social Determinants of Health and Nursing Education

This resource looks at the unique role of nurses to assess for SDOH and deliver care that acknowledges its influence on patients and their outcomes. The resource describes several evidence-based practices that nursing schools can utilize to train their students in screening and addressing SDOH. This includes classroom learning, simulations, motivational interviewing, and service learning.
