This article discusses a study that was conducted during the initial stay at home orders to identify the leading causes of stress during that time. Results showed that the stay at home orders and social distancing were not associated with worse mental health outcomes in the study sample. Factors that did cause worse mental health outcomes included fighting with a partner, legal issues and life-threatening illnesses.
