HMS Medical Student COVID-19 Curriculum Committee

Date of Review: February, 2022

Harvard medical students collaborated with faculty to develop a virtual eight-module curriculum designed for other medical students at any institution. The modules start by looking at research and epidemiology, and then go on to address SDOH, mental health, communication, ethics, collaboration, and the skills needed to be an effective clinician. Of note, the website now states, “Due to the wide availability of high-quality resources at the medical student level, we are no longer updating this module regularly. ” Despite, this, the learning objectives, cases, activities, and discussion points may still be useful for those interested in teaching these topics or developing a new curriculum. –Elizabeth Painter, PsyD, MSCP, NCEAS
