Adverse Childhood Experiences and Trauma-Informed Care: An Online Module for Pediatricians
Date of Review: June, 2020
This is a brief (25 minute) self-directed learning module intended to introduce pediatric residents to the science of adversity and to prepare them to address the impact of adverse childhood events on their patients and families in clinical practice. It is focused and clinically relevant. The provided slide set would be useful for teaching not only residents but also senior medical, nurse practitioner and PA students, and could easily be integrated into a course or longitudinal curriculum on SDOH. –Amy Brown, MD, NCEAS
