National Center for Cultural Competence
Date of Review: January, 2020
This resource is a very expansive website developed by the National Center for Cultural Competency of the Georgetown University Center of Child and Human Development to “to increase the capacity of health care and mental health care programs to design, implement, and evaluate culturally and linguistically competent service delivery systems to address growing diversity, persistent disparities, and to promote health and mental health equity. While is has a mission to support program development it has many valuable resources that could be used in a curriculum, some interactive with knowledge assessments, most would either be used a references in a curriculum or perhaps as a project to assess the cultural competency in the institution of the learner. A caution is that, due to its expansive nature, navigation through the site to find a particular resource useful for curriculum can be time consuming. — Barb Bayldon, MD, NCEAS
