The National Collaborative for Education to Address the Social Determinants of Health (NCEAS) was originally a HRSA-funded Academic Unit for Primary Care Training and Enhancement. The mission of the NCEAS is to prepare primary care clinicians with the expertise and leadership to address the social determinants of health (SDOH).

Addressing hypertensive disorders of pregnancy in rural Uganda: a sustainable approach to workforce capacity development and global health education
Over the last several years, the WHO has prioritized quality of care in already established health systems while inspiring those health systems to evaluate and empower mid-level providers in the provision of obstetrical care. Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy are largely underdiagnosed in Sub-Saharan Africa due to lack of education and capacity for intrapartum care providers to diagnose and manage this spectrum, resulting in high rates of maternal morbidity and mortality. We developed an educational curriculum for midwives in rural Masindi in partnership with a non-governmental organization aimed at eliminating health disparities for the people of Uganda.

Considering Culture and Conflict: A Novel Approach to Active Bystander Intervention
Medical students, residents, and faculty participated in a virtual active bystander intervention workshop and were then assessed on willingness to intervene in ten clinical scenarios following participation in the workshop. This workshop was facilitated by the department of psychiatry however I think can be used/ applied for other specialties. This was a strong partnership with the DEI Office at Stanford and had a high rate of participation.
