Roots of Health Inequity

Date of Review: May, 2025

The Roots of Health Inequity Course Series was crafted and reviewed by a team of subject matter experts from a diverse background in an effort to provide representative and authoritative content about a crucial topics in public health.  It is an online module that is designed to be completed over multiple sessions. Because the curriculum is a no cost and readily, I think it would be relatively easy for other institutions to implement a version of this curriculum into their training or as a more likely a supplemental resource. Strengths include a range of topics which are all important and relevant. Additionally, the interactive elements are engaging and incorporate cases/videos/timelines that aid in learning, and it can yield discussion. However, there are several limitations, that include, how to integrate given its so wide which makes it more a supplemental item. Also, this resource does not include any references or citations to support claims and has no evidence that it changes behavior or practice.
