Health Equity Guide for Public Health Practitioners and Partners
Date of Review: April, 2020
This guide provides resources to assist public health departments and its partners in moving farther upstream to address the underlying causes of health inequities in communities. It can be used to develop and implement a health equity strategy. It is also a good resource to develop educational material to teach about health equity by proposing a framework and clearly defining terminology. It also gives examples of the impact of different interventions at the individual versus policy level in terms of SDOH. It also talks about tools that you can use to evaluate and identify health equity in a population. — Pablo Buitron, MD, NCEAS
