Anti-Racism and Race Literacy: A Primer and Toolkit for Medical Educators

Date of Review: October, 2020

This resource provides an overview of Critical Race Theory (CRT), Public Health Critical Race Praxis (PHCRP), and Anti-racism frameworks for medical educators, supplemented with questions for self-reflection and suggested readings. This primer is especially useful for small-group leaders, as it prepares the reader to discuss racism, understand the historical context of racism within medicine, and ultimately implement anti-racist curricular content. The appendix of related articles, books, podcasts, social media accounts, websites, and videos provides an excellent jumping off point for additional exploration.  –Katy Wright, PhD, NCEAS
