During this webinar we discussed:
The Christ Hospital/University of Cincinnati Family Medicine Residency has had a partnership in Guatemala, sending interprofessional teams of healthcare providers to provide in-person care four times per year since 2016. The COVID-19 pandemic dramatically changed the way we deliver care. Using a telehealth model, we created virtual trips for residents and students to attend, maintaining continuity with our patients and continuing to teach residents core principles in global health and care of vulnerable populations. In this presentation, we’ll review, and
- One model of telehealth in Guatemala
- Best practices and lessons learned
- Early outcomes for resident training in global health.
- Future directions for expanding care of our global community
