This article discusses adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and suggest that there may be likelihood for an increase in the incidence during the pandemic. The authors recommend that in order to lessen or alleviate the effects of ACEs, every pediatric practice should assess their patients for ACEs. They also recommend investing in youth programs that work with children who have experienced trauma.
