Date of Review: June, 2020

Albon D, Soper M, Haro A. Potential Implications of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the Homeless Population. CHEST. 2020.

Discusses the many issues the homeless population face with COVID-19. The homeless population is not able to quarantine or social distance thus increasing the spread of COVID-19. This article also discusses the potential strain the homeless population could put on hospitals during the COVID-19 outbreak. Also, due to the increase in unemployment and loss of insurance the homeless population could go up thus creating a bigger strain on the health-care system.—Clare Petrie, NCEAS
