Humphreys K, Thwin Myint M, Zeanah C. Increased Risk for Family Violence During the COVID-19 Pandemic. Pediatrics. 2020;146(1):e20200982

This is a perspective piece describing how family violence will increase during the COVID-19 pandemic. The article discusses how during the pandemic children are more exposed to violence occurring in the home because schools/caretaking facilities are closed. Also, due to pediatricians cancelling well appointments they are not able to care for these patients like they normally would pre-pandemic. It provides examples that pediatricians need to be aware of during this time and resources that might help their patients. —Clare Petrie
