Behavioral Health Care for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) People
Date of Review: May, 2019
This resource created by the NYC Health + Hospital as a New Certification Pathway module is an approximately 20 minute long interactive presentation aimed at improving the competency of health professionals to recognize the behavioral health issues in the LGBTQ patient population and to communicate with them. The resource includes the presentation, the slides and a post presentation evaluation of knowledge. This is a resource that could easily be integrated into either medical school or residency as an independent learning experience. – Barbara Bayldon, MD, NCEAS
